Barra de Potosí, Mexico

In association with EIL Explore Travel Awards, I documented my time in Mexico (and one of my first times abroad), in the small fishing village of Barra de Potosí. Check out my blog post on how I got this opportunity.

The people I met, memories I made, photos I took and experiences I had show the significance of Mexican culture and its beauty. An image says a thousand words, so I took plenty. I didn’t have my camera for the best experiences, but they are detailed in the blog posts mentioned.

Each place, Oaxaca, Mexico City and Barra de Potosí had its own character and life to make it unique. They say each state in Mexico is like a different state, with different festivals, indigenous cultures, celebrations and landscape. However they all share one thing, the amazing PEOPLE of Mexico! Each place below is so distinct and the pictures really tell a vivid story of my time there.

To truly develop a sense of self understanding, you must first learn to understand others
